"I've been a customer with State Farm now located in Warrenton, for nearly 5 years since moving from Hawaii back to Oregon. I have nothing but excellent feedback for this office. Every single staff member that I have spoken to on the phone or in person has been very courteous and helpful. When I have needed to adjust my policy, they have been an advocate to save money on the policy as needed. In our current world where we have so many click bait ads to get us to sign up for ultra cheap insurance through these mega conglomerates with customer service agents that don't know you or your situation, dealing with a local office has been such a breath of fresh air for any of my insurance issues. "Been a State Farm customer for years out of state for my RV. Tried to move my insurance to this agency since I'm spending my of the time at my residence in the area and less at my time at the other residence. They immediately had a problem with the fact that I drove my RV too often? I asked what was too often and they said I can't use it for work or drive it 'all the time.' again I tried to ask what the requirements were, and they couldn't give me any. I explained again that I have two permanent residences that I pay for, and I work and have family in Colorado and in Oregon and I've been using the RV so that I don't have to get hotels when I travel back-and-forth or go somewhere for a work assignment. Without any explanation, they just said they can't cover that. I asked why they don't cover RVs for RV use like they do in Colorado. They said they just don't. The whole time I could hear some other person in the background yelling things at them, and I specifically heard "if they don't have a permanent address, we can't cover them." I said I heard that and explained again that I do actually have TWO permanent residences, have a well-paying full-time job, and that I have not had any problem, insuring my RV with State Farm in Colorado and I'd be willing to provide them with information from that policy to see if they could cover it. The person on the phone just kept saying no, and that he heard me say that I use it "all the time". So I asked if they don't believe me then or think I'm trying to scam them or something? And all they could say was "we can recommend you to another agency." Definitely seems like they were incredulous and untrusting from the first second they picked up the phone. I've had great experience with State Farm and was honestly shocked by how unprofessional and unwilling the agency was to even THINK about insuring an RV that State Farm already insures. Let's not forget that an insurance agency literally provides nothing except customer service. There are no physical products they are selling… So… **In response to their response: Nothing they wrote back makes any sense. State Farm does NOT require a home owner policy because I called the next State Farm agent I could find and they were able to start the transfer of my policy from Colorado to Oregon within a 15 minute conversation. Also y'all didn't even ask me any more detailed questions, you just blanket said NO after I said I 'drive it all over the place all throughout the year'. Which is what millions of RVers do. What nonsense."
